Contact Lenses

I need to buy some contact lenses which, surprisingly doesn't seem as easy as i first imagined. I have tried the major high street optical shops and don't seem to be getting anywhere. The problem seems to be that I am looking for lenses to correct long sightedness where everyone in Hk seems to be short sighted. The answer from the shops is that the lenses I require are not in stock in HK and the shop/supplier will not order them.

Any suggestions?

I need contacts for reading, and long distance. My script for lenses is +3.75 which apparently is bad & unusual.

No optometrist in HK stocks them & I just call one & have them order in for me. Takes 2 days. I would try the Optical Shop (may have changed name now) in Pacific Place. Number is 28459442

Same here, I have +2.5 and +2.0 - I always call in advance to order. It takes usually 2-4 business days.

The prescription I am after is +3.25 and +1.25. I contacted Bausch and Lom office in HK and they have directed me to I Care Optomoetric Centre, Shop C G/F, Lai Yin Court 80-86 High St. Hong Kong, but thanks for the replies as Pacific Place is a lot more convenient.

Topol. Any optomotrist in HK will get those in for you on 2 or 3 days notice. Your prescription is not THAT unusual...

Just FY, I pay about HK$1800 for 6 months supply of 1 Day Acuvue. They always try to get me onto the 'new & improved' softer lens, but very expensive so have never tried.
