Reputable plastic surgeon in Hong Kong

Could anyone recommend a reputable plastic surgeon in Hong Kong? My friend is looking for a restructive surgery for functional (i.e., non-asthetic) purpose. In order to minimize the amount of stress which may arise from travelling, she would like to have her surgery done in Hong Kong. She has had a similar surgery done by a so-called famous doctor at the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital, but unfortunately she was very dissatisfied with the results since the doctor did not remove all the tumours! Nor did the doctor pay much attention to her needs and concerns at that time.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have used Kenneth Hui twice - necessary surgery to remove something from my face and my daughter's face - and both times he did an excellent job. Cannot see either of the scars - would definitely recommend him. He is not cheap - but he is good. I think a consultation is around $800. And yes you can chose which hospital you have it done in.

I had 3 large moles removed from my face and I used Dr. Otto Au with whom I was happy with. My colleague whose husband is a doctor at Prince of Wales says Dr. Au is very famous and is plastic surgeon to lots of famous people - I think he is still at New World Tower (next to M & S). good luck.

Oh....one of my friend's doctors was indeed Dr. Otto Au! He just participated in the surgery as a "consultant" to the doc. who officially cared for my friend without prior consent from her - i.e., the patient. Of course, this means that my friend had to pay for two doctors ($1000), instead of one ($800), for each daily visit they made while she was hospitalized.

Ps: Sorry vickypfl, I didn't mean to discredit your advice as everyone may have different experience. I am sure you have a reason for being satisfied with your doc. and I am glad that you were well taken of.

Please see Dr Mok in Central.try this number 28458228, he is very experienced and he worked closely with the victim in fire accident in the mountain few years back in HK. He has good reputation in this field for both surgey and beauty surgery/

Dr. Gordon Ma (Bank of America Buiding ) is highly recommended . He is expensive also but a very nice guy with great skills .

This is an old post, but-

I second the recommendation for Dr. Otto Au. (New World Tower, room 407)
His rates are very reasonable, and I chose him after doing some research on several doctors. He has lectured abroad (in the USA) about asian plastic surgery and lectured at HK University, and did great work on both myself and my ex-wife while we stayed in HK!

It would have been quicker if you'd rung Directory Enquiries (1081) for his number, which I just did. It's 2522-9365. His English-speaking receptionist should be able to give you an indication of costs.

It has been a few years- the posted number is what I have for his office 25229365

Give them a call for a quote- I had a large mole removed from my back at his office (among other things), but that was a long time ago- I doubt prices are the same, and I even more doubt that I could remember what I paid :)

It is a very easy procedure, nothing to be afraid of.
