Thanks for your replies.
No, I am not talking about plastic surgery/ reconstruction.
More like...the padding to put in the bra or bras with one cup padded to replace the breast removed. there are palces in China where they do fittings & gel pads for the breast size, but in HK I cannot find a place where that is done.
Hope to get some info on where they do that in HK. Thanks

Yes but the plastic surgeon can order the size, the model you need.

Your surgeon or oncologist should also have this information.

My Mum did not have her treatment in HK...but maybe we need to check with her hospital for more info on it.
However, I was just wondering if in HK there are places where fitting for these special cases are done.

Try contacting CancerLink in Central and they will give you information on what to do. I think what your mother needs is called prosthesis. It is a kind of jelly-like substance one put inside a pocket in the bra. Most hospitals sell them but do call CancerLink at 36673000 - they can help!
Sorry for this late reply to your question but I just came across this service from AsiaExpat tonight.

I agree with Peggie, CancerLink will have the information for various suppliers for these breast gel-like substance to be put within the bra so that it would look normal from the outside. I would find out some information for you on Tuesday after holiday.

You are welcome! If there's more questions, do not hesitate to ask. Your mother is fortunate to have a daughter like you who cares so much. Support is also a very important factor for people having cancer. Tell her to go to support groups in CancerLink.
Warmest regards!

How is your mother doing? Forgot to tell you to advise her not to carry heavy stuff on the arm she got operated on as it may caused it to get swollen. There is a name for this - lymphoedema - some people get it right after the operation whereas some may get it a few years or even 20 years later. Must take care of that particular arm very carefully - no injection, insect bites, cut, sun-burn etc.etc. and do some mild exercises. Cancerlink teaches these things.
