Hi, my friend and I recently moved here from the US where Karaoke Bars are popular - the karaoke singing is out in the open, not in private rooms. Haven't heard of such bars here, most importantly with a good selection of English-language songs! Any tips?

If you want to sing; have fun and chat and sing with other people, you may consider singing online instead of going to those bars which will cost you money; time and a safety issue where you may run into arguments and fights or even drug trafficking with other people there. If you download http://www.yahoo.com and go to Messenger; set up an account with Yahoo; get yourself an ID and then you can chat and sing with your friends and anyone who is interested in singing. With Yahoo Messenger, at least Yahoo Hong Kong, they have public and private rooms where you can chat and sing for free with people from all over the world.
