Does anyone have any great tips as for removing unpleasant odors from skin? My kid had a rough night -- he must have eaten something that didn't agree with his system but after both vomiting and diarrhea had passed he is fine. My hands unfortunately have a mighty stench that I can't scrub away -- 4 kinds of soap and a dozen handscrubbings later I still want to spew if I get a whiff of them. I soaked them in listerine, which made them smell like listerine with a stenchy undernote.

Coffee usually gets rid of most smells. Try rubbing a teaspoon of coffee granules in your hands and then wash, it should get rid of the smell.

lemon juice? i know if you use a chopping board to cut garlic, if you rub the board with lemon juice, the smell disappears... i would try it with your hands too... smells better than coffee as well!

don't forget underneath your fingernails. if there is lingering smell it has to be coming from somewhere and I will wager it is the fingernails.

rub some rose petals with lime juice that should help and will smell good to.

thanks for all suggestions. also tried all of the de-skunkification treatments from my childhood and cut my fingernails down past my fingertips. my hands are back to smelling like normal, hooray.
