Dr Patrick Chan
Posted by morning glory (729 days ago)
Does anyone have any experience with Dr Chan? My family doctor recommended him but I haven't seen his name in any of the threads. His prices are a little more reasonable than Dr Dawkins (also recommended)
Thanks for your help

hi. yes ive had experience with him. He charges around hkd700 per visit and is quite good, but unfortunately for me, my pregnancy at that time ended in a miscarriage. He is very knowledgeable though and wonät force you to do unneccessary tests. Answers questions well also. Good luck!

yes, i have gone thru first ivf cycle with him. i personally don't think he is a specialist in infertility. may be a good OB/GYN but to treat infertility...?!?
if you want further info about my experience, Private message me.
honestly, if you are experiencing some infertility challenges, I would try another dr. we are going to switch doctors definitely...it was a waste of time for us. and waste of $$$. in terms of costs, consulatation is $500 with ultra scan done. if you need stims, cost would depend on medication.

Does anyone know if Dr Patrick Chan is pro natural delivery or c-section? I've also heard that Dr Grace Cheung is good - can anyone recommend / provide their experiences with either of these doctors?

Dr Chan is pretty good - although sometimes it does take an effort to get info out of him as he doesn't necessarily volunteer extra info that might be useful during pregnancy. Maybe that's with all doctors in HK, I don't know. He is more pro c-section although happy to do natural.

Dr. Chan is supportive with all types of deliveries. I personally had a C-section with him, and he was very good. I also have a friend who had a hypno-birthing with him, and she was very happy with the support he received from him.

Hi,
I am also going to Dr. Chan, I think he is very good, but of course this is my first pregnancy so I can not really compare... I really hope he is pro natural delivery, because that is what I would like to do.
Is anyone else going to this gyn? any other opinions?

I should give birth very soon, I have been followed by Dr Patrick Chan from the beginning, he is rigorous and meticulous. Of course don't expect an effusive behaviour, but I think he is a good man.
Natural delivery seems to be fine for him. I will let you know!!
sbbel, where will you deliver?

Is he good at delivery and stitching etc. after delivery? I thought those are critical for a easier recovery. Thank you so much!

I had an infertility treatment with Dr Patrick Chan 1.5 years ago, he got me pregnant on the third stimulated cycle. Overall impression- very attentive, answers all questions, remembers every single detail of the patient, very confident. I had an impression that the bigger the problem the more hazard he has in solving it. I had been infertile for 5 years, saw the best doctors in China and Russia, no were as good as him. Wish you all many children and grandchildren!
