surrogate thailand
Posted by stephbosio (705 days ago)
i have been speaking with ram hospital in bangkok (the coordinate dennis house) for surrogate mother and egg donate.
i talked to some people and the feedback is to be cautious.
when i meet him, he showed me a book with many surrogate pictures but i spoke to some people and they say the surrogates are not available.
he asked me to pay now for finders fee for surrogate.
looks like a few people from this forum has dealt with him. can you tell me if i can trust him?
he says he works for hospital but his office is not in hospital. and now i read here that the doctor has left the hospital but he did not tell me. he just told me they have good doctor.

It sounds fishy for me. I had bad experience with him before. It appears to me that his prime focus is to take his share of money first.
I had to ask other members in the forum any person has been successfully gone thro' the surrogate program with positive outcome within the cost structure quoted.
I think other members would also like to know how many hearts had been broken by him.

I just came back from Thailand a few hours ago. We are based in Houston, Texas. Don't deal with Dennis House. Many people have a horrible experience with him. In fact based on a botched incident he is not even allowed to provide surrogates to the Doctors in Thailand.

I would like to ask if anybody can share their experiences with surrogacy+ donor in Thailand. We are planning to go there next month and I would like to get more info from those who went thru instead of just relying on what the agencies tell us.

All,
Pls check the "seeking surrogate mother" directory for more on surrogacy!!!
Melissa Y, others, could you pls share some details about your experiences in Mumbai?
We have made an appointment end of May in Mumbai at Rotunda - Center For Human Reproduction. Had emails from different doctors but all were informed.
Had 3x ICSI in Istanbul; 2 , 3 and 4 embryos. Am 41yrs old.

Advertisements to recruit a surrogate Rs 28,000 for two weeks.
IVF Cycle Rs 55,000.
Drugs for IVF approx Rs 65-70,000 depending on doses required. (If high doses are required, this cost could be over Rs 100,000).
Surrogacy Rs 100,000 for Surrogate Preparation.

The trouble with surrogacy is that there can be unexpected costs. We've worked with Rotunda and they've gotten better at explaining costs. They, and Dr. Patel in Anand are probably the two leading surrogacy clinics in India.
In general, total cost (assuming success on first try and no complications) will be around US$25K. Complications (premature delivery likely being the most expensive) can result in increased costs.
We've shared more of what we've learned here:

Hi,
This post seems to be old, but since I just become a proud mom of a daughter from a surrogacy clinic in India I thought I might as well drop by and share my experience.
We have used Building Families International (www.building-families.org). Had an absolutely amazing experience. We got a very young and responsible surrogate. She got pregnant by first try.
The program in India costs around 10k USD. They also have a program in Ukraine. I have no experience with that though.
Contact person is info@building-families.org
Good luck everyone!!!

Dear Soniya,
Thanks for your posting and congratulations to you. However, I cannot find anything in the internet about Building Families International (www.building-families.org). Can you share more of your experience? Which clinic you used in India?
Thanks.

i advice caution in thailand. i have yet to hear one single successful case from any of the providers mentioned in this website (or any thai providers at all).
if you insist on thaialnd, i suggest you do a lot of due diligence (esp law which makes it (or about to be) illegal). birth certificates can no longer be in the name of the intended parents.

Hi, bsm,
Thanks for your advice. Actually I am only looking in India because the law is more pro surrogacy. I also think that there are more options for clinics. I just read some stories from couples in Australia and UK have successes in India. However, I do not know which is the best clinic in India at this point.
