Fish Maw Soup for fertility
Posted by ezpz (105 days ago)
I've seen several threads highlighting the benefits of fish maw soup for fertility and how it helps with implantation during IVF.
Could someone advise me :
- where do I buy fish maw
- what is it called in cantonese
- how do I prepare it
I'm going for my 1st IVF in about a weeks' time and intend to drink as much fish maw soup as possible : )

Ezpz,
The name in cantonese is "fa gau". You can buy it from stores that sell chinese mushrooms, dried shrimps, etc. I just got a recipe from Aljibi - you may be able to get it from Aljibi if you send her a PM. It is considered a "superfood" that can be eaten (or drank) any time especially during the 2ww.

Hi ezpz
you can visit the stores in Sheung Wan Wing Lok Street. That's where I get mine too. in my recipe which I PM'd you, you will see pic of the fa gau. But as i recall 788 saying, some doctors recommending buying the smaller ones as it contains less mercury. If you need help, PM me.

Hi Alijbi,
I was wondering if you could email me the recipe for the Fish Maw soup.
I am sorry, I'm not sure how to send a PM.
Many thanks
