Public Hospital but Private Ob

Hi,
We want to give birth in a public hospital for financial reasons but would like a good Ob as we've had some bad experiences with previous pregnancies here in HK.
We are in Sai Kung and would love to hear if anyone has done something similar?
I do not want to go to Prince of Wales but am thinking Queen Elizabeth in Jordan, any experiences? Also, any good Obs on this side of HK?
Also, does anyone have experiences with part private packages at the Baptist hosp in Kowloon Tong?

Hi Clare,

I had my son in St Teresa's May 2007. It was an elective c-section, and cost about HKD 75K.

The gyno I saw was in Mongkok, and cost about $500 per visit (inc ultra sound). But be prepared to have 10 other people booked into the same appointment as you, or get there super early to get first in line!

So if you don't mind getting just the basics (your queries will be answered but v rushed), or being in a "production line", this might do.
