Shenzhen next week

I have been informed that Shenzhen could possibly be closed most of next week, please could anyone clarify this for me as was hoping to go on Tues.

Most shops are opened with especially being around the CNY, it's their most profitable period for shops...But do watch your personal belongings, because it is also when most pick pocketers are out in force...

I think most of the tailors at Lo Wu will be closed or, at least, any tailoring will take a lot longer than usual as most of the tailors on holiday

went last Thur and most of the taylors were closed already...

I also went a week ago, and noticed the same thing. The tailor that I went to who was still open (I was still determined to get something made!) couldn't have anything finished within a weeks time because they said the laborers were already on holiday and wouldn't be back until the 20th of February. I think many of the other tailors are in a similar position.

It's up to you, but might be simpler to just wait another week or so : )

I was told by some of the stall holders in the fabric market that it would be closed until 20 Feb - same story with my tailor. The general shops said they would be open though.
