Wireless network key

I had two notebooks connected before to my netgear and one crashed and came back repaired. This was a year ago. meanwhile the computer that is connected to my netgear is secured with a network key.
For the repaired notebook that came back, I have no idea what this key is. Can I start from scratch for both and create a secured WEP WIFI such that both computers can talk to the single netgear box.....and how does one goes about doing it???? I have no manauals etc.

should get you numerous websites that will have the info. When I have so with my linksys router I connect my computer to it via a network cable, press the reset button, type in the network address for the router (192.xxx.xxx.xxx), that brings up the router configuration routine, and I go through it step by step.
