Cleaning up a laptop

Hi

My girlfriends laptop seems to have some sort of virus on it thats taking up all the memory. Can anyone recommend somewhere to take it that won't rip us off and will actually sort the problem? any suggestions would be welcome and appreciated

If you don't want to do the internet research to find a fix, take the machine back to where your girlfriend got the machine (assuming it was in HK) and ask them to fix it. The easy way for a retailer is probably a reformat and reinstall (an internet search may find an easier way still, but ....), and the shop that sold the machine originally would probably be interested in repeat (future) business.
