Discolouration- Apple Macbook

Just want to find out whether anyone experience discolouration on their Macbook? I bought one and within a week, I could see yellowish deiscolouration on the right side, next to the mouse pad. Any idea why?

Has it been in the sun?
Do you use hand lotion?

Nothing of that sort. The discoloration is getting worse

That is pretty weird. Take it to Apple and complain.

I did complain and after investigation, they gave me a brand new laptop. Hopefully the same problem does not arises. Thanks anyway for the advice rendered
