We gave up on landlines a while ago.

If you have an Internet connection, Skype is one of the cheaper options for calling pretty much anywhere. Rates to India range from 1.402 to 1.548 Honkies/min.

You don't even need a computer if you get a Skype phone. And you can use a wireless Skype phone from any access point/hotspot.

IDT1529 is very cheap one for land line. Try rhier web site on idt1529.net you also get 28$ credit.

Try 0080 or 009. Charges between 65 cents per minutes to 90 cents per minute.
