How to Call From USA to HK for free and/or cheap?

Hi there!... Does anyone know how to make calls from the USA, NY to Hong Kong for free and/or cheap other than using skype. My partner and I are always on the move and on mobile. Thanks for your thoughts!

My partner is using AT&T services in the USA and he is charged for international calls received by the minute!

Most US cellphone carriers charge by the minute for receiving, regardless of the call's origin. Well, normally you have so and so many "free" minutes included in the plan.

Calling cards are pretty cheap.

You can also both get an unlimited cellular data plan and use Skype with a laptop or netbook.

Calling cards is one way to go.

Vonage has an ongoing promotion that allows free IDD calls for 1 year.
