Hello I have a Now Tv line that I no longer use but am in a contract for another year.

I was thinking as it is a data connection and it has a modem for the connection, is there anyway to turn that into an Internet connection? Can I connect a router to it and browse the net?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
