Travel to and from Japan

Does anyone know which is the cheapest way to and from Japan?
I want to visit, and a friend wants to come here, but it all seems so expensive through the airlines direct websites.

Try the travel agents listed in the SCMP's classifieds... I do not know whether I can mention specific companies on here due to Ed's ad policy... but a budget return flight in coach class (economy) from what I can remember should cost you around $2000 HKD... but it does depend on the time of year... the end of this month is Japanese Golden week and a flight will be a lot more expensive as for Easter etc...

Golden Week is from end April to first week May.
Try the website, Northwest has special deals from time to time.

If you are lucky, you can see cherry blossoms at its peak.
Or browse South China Morning Post, Post Services Guide(Travel).
