Shangri'la or Hilton, Cebu

Would really appreciate if anyone has stayed at either and could give me a review. We're single and prefer a place with less children / families (not that I have anything against children!). Shangri'la looks lovely and has lots of good reviews online but anyone ever stayed at Hilton. How about location for each, are they close to the beach. Otherwise any comments on holiday in Cebu - have not been before?

We stayed at the Hilton and and had a great time, we are also a couple without kids and like peace and quiet and we have pretty high sandards when it comes to hotels etc and found the Hilton fine. Food was good, they have a Tapas place over the ocean and a few other eating places. It has it's own bit of beach although it's only small and a nice swimming pool but it is cold. The staff where great and we recived a free upgrade to a suit and free breakfast. I've heard the shangri-la is great for kids and they often have lots of them staying there bu the food is so so and very expensive.
We are actually going back to the Hilton next weekned for a quick break.

Shangri'la is better for me cause Hilton Cebu is a highrise.
