Christmas Travel Help Needed

I am new to Hong Kong and would like to travel in late December over New Year's. We would like to travel to a warm beach climate. We are a party of 9, including 3 young children. I now know that I am very late to make reservations and the travel agents are finding nothing available. Are there and tips, secrets or advice that anyone may have to help us secure a vacation reservation? Thank you in advance for your help. Momma3

Hi - Thailand probably best - maybe Club MedPhuket if you have kids...

Hi Momma3,

I'm having the same trouble trying to book a party of 7. 5* hotels are over my budget and 3/4* when I check them on tripadvisor.com or virtualtourist.com they get bad reviews.

If you get any help, please can you post it up and see if it helps me too.

Thank you all for your help. We have booked a vacation to Kota Kinabalu. We were able to find a "block booking." It seems as those become available closer to the travel time.
