Not sure how HK credit cards will deal with this, but this is how my Canadian (TD visa) card is handling this.
They were familiar with the Oasis situation so no explaining was needed. I've been asked to fax our itinerary and a letter with signature and credit card number. A refund will be initiated following the return date on the itinerary.
As our return date on the itinerary is months away, I expressed concern about the amount being on my bill for months as I'm not going to pay the Oasis charges, and the fact that I had to purchase an additional 5 tickets on Cathay. They said that at this time there is nothing they can do as the airline is in liquidation and not bankrupt, and until Visa International issues a bulletin authorizing refunds, they can do nothing until the return date on my tickets. They have assured me that either way, a refund will be coming, and will include interest charges on the tickets.
