Phuket-accomodation with kitchen
Posted by Wheelymate (103 days ago)
Hi there,
Can anyone recommend a family friendly place with a kitchen in phuket? i have a toddler and a baby, toddler will eat pretty much anything but would like a kitchen to cook some baby food for the younger one so he's not having jars for the entire holiday. I know the following places so far:
marriot beach club (but looks v popular so might not have preferred dates)
allamanda
sheraton
laguna phuket hotel residences
any reviews on the above?
a villa will also be nice but can do without private pool as i imagine i will spend most time stopping my tot from jumping in!
thanks!

just came back from the JW Marriott - they have 2 bed appartments - fantastic - I dont think you can beat that from what I hear about other places. BUT BEWARE! they have just build a whole new building outside there resort - half empty, you will get apps there for sure but you DONT want to be in the new wing - pain to get to everything in the hotel - so specify that you want THE OLD WING when you book!

it is basically part of the hotel, so they have kids club (very good one), 3 swimming pools - one huge with very shallow end and a water slide for kids (ours loved it) and even a couple of elephants on the beach (ours - one was fascinated, one run a mile!) - so perfect for kids!

idsllvn,
there are 2 marriotts in phuket right - one a regular hotel and the other a beach club (apartments with kitchens)? which one are you recommending?
what about location? are you able to walk out to local eats and bars in the evenings?

they are the same thing - the beach club are indeed the appartments and regular one is rooms - same place tho - hence beach club has all the same restaurants and facilities if you have a look? Make sure to ask for Old wings tho!! As I mentioned, they built new ones and tho rooms are great - it is outside the hotel, you need to get a golf buggys and generally is not that nice...
Re location - it is build in a national park (wonder how they managed that) so there is NOTHING for miles, really nothing -so you are kind of stuck in the hotel - we did not care though - we werent going to go into towns etc much anyway...
