Cheap Flights to Australia

Just got my Christmas holiday dates and started checking flight cost. OUCH!!! Any suggestions for for cheap flights from HK to Brisbane?

Qantas have just released some great deals - HK$4680 return (plus taxes which of course take it up to about 7K) but still much cheaper than usual. I think the dates are Sept through to March with some black out dates. Call the HK Qantas office as you can't book these online.

Thanks SKDL, I rang QANTAS but the special is not valid for any date after the 11th of December until half way through January. Flights out of HK at the holidays are always expensive but this year seems worse than normal.

I think all the airlines are using the rise in fuel as an excuse to jack their prices up.

If u are really on a budget, Viva Macau has heaps of specials on tickets (last special was A$99 sydney to macau, plus tax). It's not that difficult to get off the plane in Macau, take a cab to the ferry pier and hop on the ferry to HK (45 mins). Only thing is from brisbane you would have to fly to sydney first then it becomes quite a few stops for you. check out www.flyvivamacau.com anyway for some super cheap deals if you can be bothered though!

Of course prices have gone up fuel has more than tripled in the past few months, airlines are running a business not a charity so it was inevitable that fares would rise.
