For anyone planning a trip to Seoul let's suggest some things to do and see as well as places to stay.

My brother and his fiance went earlier this year. They said it was one of the most boring holidays they've ever had. There wasn't anything to "do" other than shopping and the food was "different variations of kimchi". They went to a Korean BBQ once on their trip and said a tiny plate of beef was around HK$300. We were thinking about going, until they told us about their trip. Sorry this isn't exactly constructive.

I'm afraid I would have to agree with Kailayb. I lived there for a number of years and despite some cultural attractions, Seoul pales in comparison to most countries in Asia. I do, however, like the food but it is an acquired taste and may not suitable for some people. Lastly, even with the weaker won in recent months, the prices for accomodation can be prohibitive. I hope I don't sound too negative but there are plenty of more interesting destinations.
