Will be in Sydney + Hobart for 3 days each with wife in MARCH and wld be grateful for recommendations on convenient and reasonably priced hotels.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton on the Park, in Sydney, which had very nice rooms and was in a good location but perhaps not so reasonably priced. In Hobart, I stayed at The Old Woolstore, which was fine. Pretty simple and much cheaper than the Sheraton. Big, warm rooms and a short walk into the centre of town.
