Looking to do a girls getaway at the Chatachuk weekend market in Bangkok. Can anyone recommend a hotel to stay with easy access to the BTS to get to the market.

Just back from a weekend in BKK. Stayed at the Westin and the Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit. The hotels are opposite each other and both very close to Asok BTS (2/3 mins). I've not stayed at Le Fenix but it's on a fun street and probably 7-10 minutes to Nana BTS (one stop before Asok). Mind you, if it rained like this weekend those extra minutes make a big difference...

Intrigued by the girl's getaway at Chatachuk opener - I'm a bloke so perhaps don't get it but the one time I went to Chatachuk I thought it horrendous. Particularly now, in hot, humid, rainy season it's got to be especially nasty...!

Haahaa..thanks Dive bum. I am a glutton for punishment, I know!!! Never been there myself but have many ladies that love it so figure I would use some expiring asia miles and tag along with a friend of mine before her exit out of asia.

A huge shopping market in this heat may do me in...you may just find me sitting inside the hotel lobbie sipping a vodka tonic. I'm in it for the experience....wish me luck and thanks for the heads up.

The Sukhothai is very close to the subway as well. Chatuchak is right on the subway line, so staying in a hotel close to a subway station is an advantage.
