Phuket in July

I'm taking the family to Phuket (1 four year old) and looking for ideas of good places to stay and things to do.
Do you know of any great hotel deals for this time of year?

Hi mumofone - you should get great hotel deals because July is not a good time of year at all to go to Phuket (very rainy). Unless you're going there for a specific reason, I would advise you to go somewhere else.

Hi, I have been going to Phuket for 10 years and have a property there - I spend around 10 days a month there......although this is the rainy season, it tends to be short, sharp bursts of rain and then clear skies. Last year the weather in July was fabulous. Mid Sep- Mid Oct is the real back-to-back rain.

The Allamanda is great (Laguna resort) - it has 1 and 2 bedroom suites and is very family oriented. I stayed there many times. The Meridian is also great.

There are loads of things to do in Phuket - I have an 8yr old and 4yr old - I took them on a Coral Seekers Tour (www.coralseekers.com). Fantastic day out - private speedboat - which means a lot more flexibility than a join-in tour of 20+. Not expensive.

Patong is great if u like nightlife.Lots of Bar,restaurant,and also very convenient to go shopping
