Where to go in August

We would like to take a 10 day holiday in August.
Can someone suggest somewhere to go - not too far. We have two children 12 and 8 and the 12 year old scuba dives. We would like to try the Phillipines but not sure on the weather and we also want to holiday at Christmas.

oooh..Phillipines is to wet and windy!
We are off to Malaysia in August as the weather is much better. We are off to the Borneo side (flying into Kuching and out of KK) or you could do Peninsula Malaysia.
Great jungle treks and diving ..TOO much to choose from. Got flights with Air Asia (from Macau for us) really cheap ..can't wait!
Other option in August is Bali (got married there a few years ago) again, good weather and great diving...a bit more expensive, I think ?! Hope this helps! x
