Bangkok Airport Transfer

Does anyone know whether it is still possible to transfer from an international flight arriving in BKK and transfer to a domestic flight to Phuket without collecting luggage at BKK?

If you fly to Phuket from the International Airport (suvarnabhumi) there shouldn t be any problem.

Yes, this is quite correct in some instances. If you book all the way through on Thai Airways (Or cathay) they will check your luggae all the way thru to HKT. You can clear immigration at HKT as well. However, if you only book the HKG to BKK on a major carrier, and then take a low cost carrier from BKK to HKT (One 2 Go, Air Asia etc) you will need to collect your bags at BKK and clear immigration there, and then check in again in BKK. You cant check your bags all the way through - even if the other flight leaves from Suvarnabhumi. Have a great time !
