Shanghai with parents. Hotel & what to do?

Hi,

my parents are visiting HK in October & we are planning a 3 day/2 night trip to Shanghai.

Am after ideas on where to stay & what to do. We are thinking 2 nights is enough, but happy to be advised otherwise.

CX holidays have good offers at the following hotels. Don't want to be in a business area really. Any help appreciated:

At a top end price CX holidays qualifies as a choice, subject to the usual travel risks. Your criteria and agenda will provide the terms of reference for one to provide a meaningful feedback. For example, I enjoyed all the recent trips that included the Yangtze cruise for cost effective prices with mid-range priced accommodation, after knowing the culture (although I am of Chinese decent) like there is never a smoke free environment. Also touts penetrate in hotel lobbies too but in disguised form.

Web search will provide good leads as long as you take the contents i.e. info and check the prices.

A good time and a good place, Shanghai has plenty to offer. Feel free to send a message.

These hotels are all located in the good place, and it is convenice to go outside. Shanghai is big city, you will stay here 2 nights, it is enough. Normally, travellers will visit Yu Garden; Shanghai Museum, the Bund, Jade Budda Temple, ect.

I recommand you Grand Mercure Hongqiao Shanghai if you are looking for a quiet place, not far from downtown.
