Banyan Tree

I'm planning to go to Banyan Tree in Jan or early Feb. I'm not too sure which Banyan Tree is nicer. I have been to the one in Bintan and Maldives. I heard the one in Phuket is quite old. How about the one in China? Is it a good time to go if i choice China Banyan Tree. I think they have in 2 place in China. i'm looking more to the one in Phuket. Thanks.

I have been to the one in Phuket, it's not new, but I think it's kept very nice and in good condition. The Spa was addictive, and the pool is quite nice. Food was good, esp the Thailand cuisine (what do you expect right?)..... Had a great time, in fact, one of the best vacations my husband and I had in a long time. We stayed in the pool villa. We esp enjoyed the massages in room.... esp lomi lomi massage.

Banyan Tree in China is in Shanghai (but just part of a hotel - can't really remember--- which is similar to the one in Bangkok), and the other one is Banyan tree in Shangri-la (near tibet) --- that one is gorgeus and worth the trip. I've been to Banyan Tree in Bintan, Phuket and Shangrila

If you are prepared to pay the price to enjoy the luxury of Banyan Tree, you might wish to explore Amanresorts. There is one in Phuket, Amanpuri, more authentic and less "commercialised" in a way. There is a dedicated Aman Spa located there as well. Have a look at their website www.amanresorts.com

yes agree. Amanpulo in the philippines is great! very private.
