Family hotels in the US

Hi,
My husband, 10 month old daughter and myself are going to the US for Xmas and New Year. Being from the UK and making our first trip to the west coast of the US there are many, many hotels available

I wanted to know if anyone can recommend good 'family hotels' where we could put our daughter to bed and still watch tv, talk, etc..

We are looking for hotels in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego

Any recommendations would be very much appreciated

Embassy Suites or Marriott Residence Inn (both are chain) are nice. They both have a bedroom and a livingroom and kitchen. Lot more spacious than a hotel room and you have a kitchen for a simple meal for a baby.
