Where can you...

New to Hong Kong and planning an approx-10-day holiday during Easter in Asia with the BF...
I'm looking to chill on a nice beach, sun bathe, do some cheap shopping, get a massage, etc (hence I'm suggesting Thailand?)...yet he'd like to, do everything above, PLUS, surf (he's looking into the Philippines...but I heard the beaches aren't that nice?).
Our budget is HK$10,000/pp max...what would you suggest?
Much appreciated!

Start in Ko Samui, Bangkok Airways flies there. There are a lot of good resorts and the island is magical. Then fly to Bangkok for some serious shopping. Thailand is the best.

Thanks Epi, in fact I've been looking into Koh Samui too but not sure if one can surf there? Any known surf spots on the island?

No surf that I know of in samui.
Wind surf: Boracay, the back beach is supposed to be good for wind surfing, kite surfing.
There is a good surf spot in Bangladesh, Cox Baazar beach, not much for you tho there.
Best alternative would be Bali, surf, sun, beach, massage, spas etc.

OK massages in Thailand. There are good quality places with trained, qualified, experienced staff and there are many more where the staff merely rub you for a while and expect payment, often offering sexual services as part of the service.
In Bangkok I would recommend either Siam Onsen which is above a small shopping arcade directly opposite Patpong 2 road, on Surriwongse road, or
these people:

Neither establishment permits its staff to indulge in the hanky-panky that often goes on elsewhere.
