Lankawi and Krabi

I'm thinking to have a 2-week vacation in late March and am considering to visit both Lankawi in Malaysia and Krabi in Thailand. I'm looking for a beach holiday will these two locations meet with my expectation?

Also, what's the most convenient and cheapest route to get to these two locations, by flight?

Cheapest will be using the budget airlines, but you will need to check online and map out the potential flights.
Since budget airlines is a point to point booking, it is not advisable to have connecting flight on the same day - flight delay is norm; missed flight will not be given a replacement(?), so check the rules when you do the booking.
The following are some of the budget airlines flying from BKK to Krabi.
1. Air Asia - flies from BKK to Krabi and also BKK to Langkawi. The prices varies as earlier booking is cheaper.
2. Nok Air and Orient Thai also have the BKK-Krabi routes.
