Nails in HK HELP
Posted by Giggi (304 days ago)
Dear Ladies, I have been to most "known" nail salons in HK and I STILL haven't found a good place where to get gel or acrylic nails done. Is it really that difficult to find?? If you know a good place please let me know. Thank you in advance!!

I really rate ManiPedi, I've tried lots of places too and I found them to be the best in terms of quality and service. They are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
They are the the building above Pizza Express on Lyndhurst Terrace.

Call Winnie at 6184 9391. I kid you not she is OUTSTANDING! I am so picky, that after trying too many places here and paying way too much money I quit wearing them. Then I found WINNIE! Beautiful and reasonable. You won't be disappointed! Tell her Sandi recommended her.

Try Bhim at Sense of Touch, the one next to The Centrium in Central. Tel 2869 0939. She's the Salon Manager and she's very detail-minded with good craftmanship.

Hi Pcaussies, is she good in doing gel or acrylic? Where does she work and how much does she charge?? Questions, questions I know :-)
Thank you!
Boo_Boo, I think Bhim is super good at waxing, I actually thin she is the best one! :-)

Hi, Coco is the best as I have been quite a lot nail shops in Central. She used to work in a nail bar in Central too. She does home visit too. Contact her on 6895-1186. She uses US's Gel.

Hi Gigi. Winnie will come to your home and she does both, acrylic and gel. I have acrylic, my friend has gel and we love her. I think she charges 460 HKD for a rebase and they are so good I can go a month with them. Let me know what you think.

Hi Giggi,
I would highly recommend the Feel Good Factor on Lyndhurst Terrace http://www.feelgoodfactor.com.hk/ Ph: 2530-0610. They were one of the original nail salons to set up in HK and their gel and acrylic technician - Winnie - has a loyal following amongst expats. They charge $860 for a full set. They also have another technician there who is new called Cat who i have heard good things about as well.
Good luck getting nailtastic !

I would personally recommend Celia Lee (owner of salon) or Stella at Jade Nails - have been using her for about 2 years.
Open 6 days a week from about 10:30 to 8:00pm. You will need to book ahead as she gets very busy. Cost for full set of acrylic infills is HK$415 (slightly more if a nail is broken off). You can have a pedicure at the same time by Stella which is a real treat!
Go to Admiralty MTR station - Exit A
Shop 16
1/F Admiralty Centre
Tower 1
Hong Kong
Tel. 2520 2606
Fax 2529 5668
Plenty of UK and US magazines to read whilst you're having your nails done.
I've friends who use Jade Nails as well as friends using Winnie (either going to Feel Good or using her in her time off) and the quality/look is the same.
