help - oily skin

I just moved to hK and not sure if it is the hot weather, but my skin is very oil and shiny as soon as i go outside - does anyone have a good skin care routine for oily skin? my derm gave me retin a before I left, but it hasn't helped with the shine although he thought it would....thanks so much! Melissa

My skin was normal to dry when i was in Canada, but now my face turned to combination(to oily) due to the humid weather of HongKong. You should try some stuff mentioned combination skin for face. dont ever use stuff only for oily skin as they will dry you out that quick(esp. on the cheek area). I have been using some brands like Chanel, Lancome, and many others, turned out all the same, still my face come out oil that easy on t-zone area. Now I am trying Clinique. but i think it is the weather related not skin problem.

I am about to try Origins Oil Refining Toner. It apparently leaves a powdery complexion because it has special particles just for that problem. Chanel Matte Lumiere foundation has the same. Origins have other products in the range like Zero Oil.
I have tried Clinique Pore Minimiser. This keeps oil at bay for a couple of hours but no longer for me.
Anyway, I have my fingers crossed!
