Problem with Nail Polish...

I've noticed since being in HK, everytime I wear nail polish on my fingers or toes, they discolor the actual nail underneath.

Why is this as never had this prob in the UK.
& before someone writes about wearing a base coat , I do wear a base and top coat.

Also found this to be the case whether the polish is from a cheapish store or a more expensive brand.
I bought my fave YSL color from SOGO but the same happened. I hate having to hide my toes due to discolored nails.

Any help appreciated!!

I don't see how as it is the same brand I used in the UK - but maybe I'll try another one, just in case. Thanks!
