Hair Perm in HK

I have been looking for a hair perm for a long time, i went to a salon in Central (apparently a famous one) paid 950 $ to get a perm, i could not even notice the difference in my hair. Am afraid to go just anywhere as they may not understand what i want, also this time i dont want to spend anything more than 800 $. I am looking to get the 'wavy' effect, not the 'hardcore' curls, can anyone help with recommendations? Thanx

sorry about your experience, perming is both an art form and a very exacting scientific process. At times the curl may relax it is something that happens on occasion, the best thing you can do is talk to them and work it out as it is better that you under process than over process. I have done allot of investigation work on prems here because they seem to be great or horrible...nothing in between. Much of this depends on your texture and pattern desired. I have heard pros and cons over the Electronic perms, having tried several I must say I was impressed by them but you have to be careful. Curl ans bounce are back but you do not want to sacrifice condition for result. I have two gentleman that I would highly recommend for you on this topic if you like. I have worked closely with each and their skill levels are excellent. Let me know what nationality you are and what you look for in a stylist and I can make an introduction for you. If you feel more at ease I can accompany you to their shops and sit in on the consult as I have a great working relationship with both and many times they do this for me. Let me know your details.

I myself try and refer perms out to people who have educated on that level,though I enjoy them I recognize when someone has a gift for a certain technique....cheers
