As far as I know, this shop sells originals, but a lot of them are sample, overruns or defected. That's why they go to the bother of cutting up the name of the label, in order to prevent people from trying to take them back to the actual shops. Most people who make copies do not go to the trouble of copying a label and then cutting it up. Although, this being Hong Kong, nothing would surprise me. I've bought lots of things at Safari over the years and have never had any problem. Are the jeans you bought from Safari exactly the same style as the ones from Seibu? As I said, the ones from Safari may be slightly different and that is why they didn't pass the quality control.
