i need some ideas please. I am getting married in 2years time-by which time I will be 49, have never been married before(but kissed alot of frogs haha) anyway, will be getting married in Australia-are women who have been married at a mature age? What sort od dress/outfit should I wear? I dont want a traditional white merang-any websites that might give me ideas?Any advice would be much appreciated!

I think you need to look at the location of your wedding and reception. That may dictate what will suit the occasion. I would suggest you go and try on a variety of dresses ( with a good friend) start with c*cktail dresses, move on to ball gowns,maybe suits? forget the colour to begin with, just look at the style. Look at the stuff you have in your wardrobe that makes you feel good whe you wear it. You want this to be something special regardless of your age! You can get a dress made in the right colour and style...When you have your dream dress you can then decide on hair,hat,veil?? Don't steer away from whiteish colours (because you feel you may have kissed a few too many frogs) as this is your chance to look the bride if you want it!! However other colours may look more striking on you and you want to look gorgeous!!

A friend of mine is getting married (3rd marriage!) at the end of this year and she is also a 'mature' bride...she wasn't expecting to get a traditional wedding gown but in the end found a beautiful dress at a shop called 'Trousseau' on Lyndhurst Terrace. I believe they used to be 'Brides & Gowns'...She said that the consultants there were very friendly and experienced and they had a fantastic collection of western-style gowns, for all shapes and sizes....best of luck!!
