Cannot seem to respond to your pm it does not seem to go through to you. Would it be possible to send me another pm with your telephone or email number so I can get in touch with you. I am based in Kowloon Tong and Sai Kung would would be easy for me to get to. Have never used PM before and I am not computer literate so probably i am not doing the right thing.
Many thankjs

Not sure if anyone is still reading this, but a friend of mine just made me this amazing handmade card. I was so surprised. Never thought she is the creative kind. The pattern paper was pretty, there's stickers, 3D effect and ribbons. She told me she made it in a workshop in Hong Kong Island. Anyways.. I'm posting it here because she said she's going back to the workshop to make a scrapbook next time.
If anyone is interested, I can ask her for the contact.

There is a shop in Mongkok that does scrapbooking. It's near the MTR station. This location is central and accessible to those in NT, Kowloon and HK Island.
I've just been to one of their classes 2 weeks ago. It is great! They have the albums, stencils, stickers, patterned papers, 3D stickers, various pens and glues etc there. And best of all, they are not expensive.
Please email the company directly on: fotodeco@hotmail.com
They would prefer it if you can get a group of 2-4 ladies for an evening or weekend class. If you girls are interested, maybe we could do this together?

Yes i have met her she is an asian lady. Have not seen her shop but seen her papers at a scrapbooking retreat and they did not look so great. Hence not visited the shop. Do you think it is worth it. I would join a class there as close to me as i live in homantin. Kowloon. Spotlight also has scrapbooking papers etc in Kowloon Bay

If your looking for a place on HK Island, there is a stamp & album shop called 'Colourful Tree' at the East Point Mall in Causeway Bay. They have lots of nice stamps, and also sell albums. I finally found the 'Happy Birthday' stamp I wanted there. They also have those double-sided removable photo glue/tape at a reasonable price. But they limited supply of embossing products, and some stickers.
There's also a place in Central near Lei Yuen St East that sells tons of stamps and paper art stuff. I love their paper selection. The first time my friend took me there, I spent a fortune.
If you don't want to purchase all the items, there's a scrapbooking class in Causeway Bay in Island Beverley office building which provides everything you need to make a scrapbook. You can work at your own pace.

Please tell me how to contact this person in causeway bay for scrapbooking class. Do they have all the papers there to match what you may be doing for the day. Can you please give me the address of east point mall. Is that the mall next to Sogo.
Also there is a shop called paper art in Des Voeux Street just after Li Yeuen Street that sells papers and stamps. But they are more for making cards n stuff not so much for scrapbooking.
Thanks

Thanks so much. Appreciate that.
Do they help you with your scrapbooking layouts in CWB

Hm.. the CWB place, it's a open or self-managed session. The girl staff taught me how to use the brads, hole punch, stamps on acrylic and paper curler ... but the design of your scrapbook.. assuming they've seen enough people do scrapbooks, I would guess they can give suggestions.
She did suggested I layer my scraps to make it more attractive.

Oh thats good will try. But just to let you know that Angela Collingwood in Discovery Bay charges $250 per 3 hour session. All the papers n stuff is there for you to purchase. Just have to bring your own glue and cutters.
She always helps you and gives excellent ideas for your pages.
Her sight is hongkingmemorychest.

That's cool. What does the $250 include? Just space rental? Does the cost include usage of reusable equipment like punches, pattern scissors, stencils, stamps.. etc?
Wouldn't the cost add up if I have to buy everything I use? Cuz I tend to use wide range of paper, sometimes just a corner of a scrap. If I have to pay for all the paper I use.. that'll be expensive. And the stickers too. Can I buy one sticker, or are they in sheets? How about alphabet stickers? Do they have any? I find that's the easiest to create words (that or alphabet charms).
leakikman, I can't open the hongkongmemorychest site.. can you pm me the whole web address please?
Thanks.

You have to purchase all the papers you use and alphabet stickers. But paint, stamps, chalk etc are all free.
Often people doing ther scrapbooking have odd papers which they are more than happy to give to you.
At the CWB place do they supply papers, glue ribbons etc. Its worth a try see if you enjoy it if not then you have not lost anything. And the lady that owns the business is so friendly and she is always such a great help.
The website is hkmemorychestonline.com
Good luck
