model agency for baby
Posted by paoolaa (669 days ago)
What is a good and recognised international models agency for our baby?
We are based in Hong Kong.

Find what you are after in our Hong Kong A-Z Directory

One of the agencies not listed in the above link is Catwalk Productions.
I am a model with them, and after many years working with them I find them excellent. Give Anna 25980663 a call.
- I am not sure if they have babies on their books but you can ask her.
Also here in HK you are able to belong with as many agencies as you wish. (no other country I have worked in does this! NY, London, Germany, Paris..) so also try Signal 8. They are known for their young models, school kids etc.
Please feel free to ask me any questions.. I have to say I know more about adult modeling here but I will be happy to answer any further questions you might have.

everyone knows that you don't need to do professional photos BEFORE you see any agency right?
just take you, your kiddie dressed in something nice and some snaps of him/her looking happy!
The agency will then advise you about further photographs. Also a professional agency will never charge you a "joining fee" etc. If they start talking about that leave!
You may have to pay for further pics but that is after signing up with your agent. Try to see more than one, give them a call (see above link to view a list of agents) and ask if they rep children.. join more than one if you want.
good luck!

Hi, i sign up for my baby on internet website and they asked for an interview.
They refer a job casting immediately but they also said some professional pics needed to be taken at the studio for other jobs referal. It will cost $2500 to start...we didn' do it right away as we feel it might be a scam...but someone also said it is normal. Should we give a try? or does anyone has a goog and free baby modelling agancy for us to contact? thanks a lot!

Before forking over cash I'd ask the agency how long they have been in business and ask for information on the placements they have secured for others. There are many scams in HK that I have seen in the news over the years where promises are made but in fact the agencies seldom place models and make a living off the photo fees...

I went to peanut butter n jelly after all. I had to pay $600 only for making prosessional pictues in a small basic studio. Its a start up and they do have a couple of clients. I do not know how many... Anyway today's advertsing business will not be the best since years anyway...

My son joined the peanut butter n jelly, we didn't go there for picture taking since my hubby is a photographer hobbyist he took the photos and I sent it to them, the model release I just fax it also. He had some casting but no job done yet, but was a good experience though.

Hi Abby78. Does peanut butter n jelly manage your son exclusively? Do I have a choice not to be exclusive in case I'm interested in signing up my baby?

they encourage you to make it exclusive for them, but I think you get the choice...I dont really remember because we didnt really give much attention about this modeling thing. you can actually read everything on their website, check it out.

This is Aimee from Peanut Butter 'n Jelly. There is no exclusivity in HK with any agency, which is really too bad b/c it comes down to which agency will offer the client the lowest cost, not which models are represented. Some of my models are with 3-4 agencies and we all might be bidding on the same jobs, with the same kids. We are a start up company, but have had some major players - even in this bad economic climate - ELLE, Huggies, Disney, McDonald's, Toys-R-Us, Giordano, , Cartoon Network and some toy packaging and clothing companies. Please consider also that the HK market is saturated with babies and that most of the kids who get work are in the 3-9 year old age range.
