Hi RA,
I am not a medical doctor, but I am a veterinarian and understand medical principles. I also had a terrible incident last year with acute and severe cramps. I was turned away from several doctors (including one ultrasonographer who only picked up a small amount of free fluid within my abdomen) with a tentative diagnosis of 'ovarian cyst'. I felt it was more serious but was too timid to question. After one awful attack I ended up in ER at Adventist Hospital with a very large tumour diagnosed on ct - benign, but causing my ovary to torse on and off.
What you have causing pain could be anything - might be minor like a cystic ovary, or gut related or anything. My point is, you should really go back or find another dr until someone listens to you. Have you had scans done? Whether or not you have insurance will be a factor too - Queen Mary obs and gyn is very good but has huge waiting lists. The drs i saw at adventist were so great - but the bill was very expensive. Luckily insurance covered most of it.
You definately should continue to seek opinions and get more tests done- even if just for peace of mind.
good luck :)
