Looking for Self-Employment advice

Hi,


My wife has a dependent visa in HK. She would like to setup her own business which will be mainly about giving lessons.

The expected income is low (may be 2 to 3 thousands a month) but we would like to make it legally in case a company ask for her services as a freelance teacher.

I checked on IRD website and it looks like she needs to register her business. I am OK with this but the problem is about the bank business account as it seems the banks asked for tens of thousands HKD to be put as deposit (and kept on the account to avoid monthly fees) which is quite big compared to the expected revenue.


I may have missed something so I am looking for anyone having a similar experience to give me some hints.
