Hi all. Anyone on here any experience in buying Thai property, namely a townhouse, not a condo? We are looking at a place in Phuket to use as a holiday home. We'd keep for probably 5 years or so before selling on (if we leave Asia).
Anyone any good advice or suggestions of what to look out for when buying? Im aware of the 30 year lease max and also the option to buy through a thai company structure.

Yes my friends conducted a transaction with the help of Weir & Associates who had layers in Thailand to assist to protect the buyers interests. There are lots of restrictions in Thailand on ownership so you must be very careful
