I am writing something. Does anybody know the following things?

- How much is the AVERAGE price of privately owned flats in Hong Kong (HK island, Kowloon, NT, etc.) per square foot. (ownership, not rental). I know that most are not on sale, but of those on sale: how much did the government sell them for? Or how much does it cost to build these flats?

- How much is the AVERAGE price of government built flats in Hong Kong (HK island, Kowloon, NT, etc.) per square food. (ownership, not rental)

- How much (if any) is the subsidy for public housing by the government. E.g. the government sells the flats at an average price of $1,000 sq.ft, but it actually cost the government $1,200 to build.

If you don't know, where can I find out?

Thank you very much!!!

I've only focused on the private sector but partial answers to #1 are here: http://www.housingauthority.gov.hk/en/common/pdf/about-us/publications-and-statistics/HIF.pdf

The relevant document is the "Housing in Figures 2012" pdf on the right. Price psm of saleable area fof HK, Kowloon and NT for 2001, 2006 and 2011 are in a table about in the middle of the document.

The rating and valuation department has a data series which shows average prices going back to 1982 which can be found here: http://www.rvd.gov.hk/en/public_services/property_information.html#propertyreview

The relevant series is in the Hong Kong Property Review and the Monthly Update will give more recent data.

I have not spent much time looking into #2 and #3, but am interested in seeing the answers.

Does anybody know where I can find question No. 2 and 3, or whom I can ask?

Thank you again!!

The subsidy is on the Land premium cost : as I understand it.

And that is normally the largest part of a property's cost in HK
