I just signed a lease at Tregunter and I was not told by my agent and the landlord that they will break the walls of all the washrooms and change the existing pipelines, which is a pain. I was only told about the external wall tilling. I am very upset and confused about all this!! Please advise what shall I do in this scenario....

Thanks

Hello, I'm Paul Tsui. Thanks for highlighting this issue, the current conditions of Tregunter Towers is appalling. Walls are green (fungus), facilities such as Tennis court and swimming pool is closed FOR 2 YEARS. This is a terrible issue we are facing. My guest room has water leaking from the walls and I reported this issue many times and this also is happening to the building right below me. Tregunter management have notified residents that there will replacement of pipelines which means they will have to break the walls from the inside ALL apartments. ONLY RESIDENTS know about this particular notice. I am moving out of Tregunter as soon by next week. You should talk to your landlord about this particular issue. Good Luck!

You are so right. I just found out that this place is totally screwed. I was actively negotiating with few agents and did not mind the external work, but just found out that all towers at Tregunter have bathroom leakage issues and all of them will need to be replaced. Which means BIG issues for people living. Now I won't take the apartment even if they gave it to me for free. Can't put my family through all that. I have seen the notice and it clearly states all this at Tregunter. And the management is so unethical that when I was viewing the apartments and I did ask them of all significant work that might take place there, they told me about external work but nothing about internal leakage issue. And I just happened to be at Tregunter yesterday, and confronted the management there, they made lame excuse that they forgot. What ash*tty thing to do to future tenants. This place will be ash*t-hole for next two years. So if I were you, I would sue the management there and the agent for not telling you all this. I am told (even written on the notice; I have a copy) that the company that will do the refurbishment work had agreed to do this internal work long time ago and even payment has been made. All written on the notice paper. What a crappy place. Go to court if you can and may be also sue your landlord for not informing you. And do your best to get out of thatsh*t-hole.
