Baguio Villa or Bel-air?

we're looking to purchase a flat in a child-friendly area and quite like the look of Baguio or Bel-air. Which one of those would you guys recommend? I know the Bel-air is very new so facilities should be better but Baguio seems to have great layouts, not to mention excellent value for money.

Easy access (ie walking distance) to a decent supermarket is important so is public transport...

Bel-Air definitely has the Wow! factor with great kitchens, views, facilities etc. People seem to either love or hate Baguio. I think you get more for your money there space-wise because the buildings are older. But the facilities at Baguio can't be compared with Bel-Air - Baguio has a swimming pool, playground and tennis court, whereas Bel-Air has just about everything. If child-friendliness is your most important requirement, I'd say Bel-Air. Baguio might win on the public transport requirement.

If you're in Upper Baguio you don't have easy access to the supermarket - you'd have to walk down the hill or get the minibus. If you're in Lower Baguio, it's easy. But that supermarket, which years ago was a very good one, is now nothing compared to the one in Bel-Air.

Have you actually seen inside any of the flats at either estate? If not, or even if you have and you'd like to see some more, let me know. I'm an agent and would be happy to show you some.

hi though this was posted years ago, having been in both, I have to say Baguio is definitely a better value for money pick....

I love the overall decor at Belair, it;s like living in a hotel and the lobbies are a lot more impressive (those at Baguio Villa are crappy)

And the facilities at Bel-air are excellent ! tho you wont use them much after the first couple of months

and have to say the commute to Central is WAY better at BAguio, we take the Express minibus no.8 to Exchange Sq to work every morning and it takes 15-18 mins to get there ! At bel-air there is a shuttle bus but it only takes you to Shun Tak, or you can also take the 30x bus which comes every 20mins.......

also having a supermarket right downstairs is a big plus! We can decide to eat in last minute and ask our helper to grab food downstairs => at bel air, even at Phrase 1, you have to walk at least 7 mins to get to the supermarket
