AsiaXPAT is back with a redesigned site, support for four languages, an expanded Property section covering rentals and sales, and a refreshed Domestic Helpers experience that now includes a fully managed Premium Helper service. This is the most significant update we have shipped in years, and it sets the foundation for what’s to come through the rest of 2026.
A quick reminder of who we are
For years, AsiaXPAT has been one of the first stops for people moving to Hong Kong and a daily resource for those already settled here. People come to us to find homes, hire trusted domestic helpers, buy and sell goods, browse jobs,as well as trade advice in the forums. None of this has changed - we’ve simply made the experience easier and more welcoming for our users.
What's new
A redesigned site, top to bottom
The new AsiaXPAT is cleaner, faster, and easier to find your way around. Categories have a clearer structure, the homepage points you to what matters first, and posting or searching takes fewer clicks. The interface works the same on a phone as on a laptop, so you can post a listing or message a seller from wherever you happen to be.
A new logo and visual identity
We refreshed our logo and broader aesthetic. Our new identity is calmer, more confident, and easier to recognise, be it across the web, socials, or in print.
Four languages
AsiaXPAT now runs in:
● English
● Chinese (Traditional)
● Chinese (Simplified)
● French
You can switch languages from the top of any page. This makes the site more useful to the international community in Hong Kong and to readers across the wider region.
The sections that got bigger and better
Property: rent or buy
The Property section sees the biggest change in this release. We rebuilt it with proper filters, more detailed listings, and clearer paths for the four most common reasons people land there:
● Apartments for rent
● Homes and apartments for sale
● Short-term rentals
● Investment properties
Whether you are relocating, upgrading, downsizing, or buying to invest, you will find the search and the listing detail pages do a lot more of the work for you.
Serviced Apartments
Serviced Apartments are now in their own dedicated category. If you are arriving in Hong Kong and need a furnished, ready-to-move-in place for a few weeks or a few months, this is the fastest way to find one.
Cars for Sale
The Cars section has been refined for quicker browsing and easier comparison. Buyers can scan listings and reach sellers directly. Sellers likewise now have a cleaner posting flow.
Domestic Helpers, including our new Premium Helper Service
Hiring a domestic helper is one of the most important things many families do in Hong Kong, whether they’ve just arrived or have reached a point where they could use some more support. Whilst ultimately rewarding, the process can also be one of the most stressful. Our updated Domestic Helpers section makes the standard, self-serve route much easier. Users can now:
● Browse helper profiles efficiently
● Post requirements quickly
● Connect directly with candidates
For families who want the whole process taken off their plate, our new Premium Helper service handles the search, the screening, and the paperwork. You tell us what you need, we find the right candidate and run the processing end-to-end.
What's staying the same
Our refresh also provides us with a good opportunity to touch base and reassure our users about what’s remaining the same..
● The Forum is still the place where the community exchanges advice, asks questions, and shares experiences.
● The Classifieds Marketplace still covers everything from furniture and electronics to baby items and small services.
● The Jobs Board still connects employers with candidates, including domestic helpers seeking work, across Hong Kong.
