About the Business
Deloitte China Tax and Business Advisory is the only Big Four practice that works As One across Greater China Region including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan with more than 2,300 experienced tax advisors to offer holistic one-stop-shop services and assist clients, stakeholders and regulators to harvest mutual trust and sustainable growth. It is also a Tier One tax practice in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan (International Tax Reviews World Tax 2021).
Through our global network of dedicated professionals at Deloitte member firms in more than 150, clients have “on-demand†access to an extensive range of hands-on, experienced professionals in all forms of acquisitions, investment and financing structures, disposition alternatives, and post transaction and integration activities. Based in Hong Kong, Deloitte China's US Tax Group is a fast-growing tax group with a premier reputation in the marketplace. Besides focusing on the Hong Kong market, the Group helps oversee Deloitte China's US tax professionals in Beijing and Shanghai and is the designated provider of US tax services to Deloitte's clients in Asia Pacific. The Group specializes in US international tax work involving MNCs, investment funds and high net worth individuals and families. Deloitte China values specialization and the Group is one of the most high-performing specialized group within the firm.
Work you'll do
- Applies technical knowledge when assisting leadership in client compliance and reporting projects
- Prepares and review US tax work papers/returns (Forms 1120, 1120F, 5471, 8865, 8858, 1065, 8621 etc.)
- Assists managers and partners to provide US International/tax advisory services
involving U.S. inbound and outbound transactions, group restructuring and perform
U.S. tax due diligence
- Identifies U.S. tax issues on client engagements and perform tax technical research
using tax soft wares such as BNA portfolio and CCH
- Drafts reports, identify key issues/risks and propose solutions for clients with respect
to U.S. tax advisory projects
- Assists managers and partners to advise financial institution clients on how to comply
with FATCA/CRS regulations including performing sample checks, periodic reviews
on the compliance program and annual account reporting to the respective
jurisdictions

We are looking for someone with
• Bachelor degree or above in tax, accounting, finance, law or other related disciplines;
• Professional accounting qualification or registered tax agent or lawyer;
• 1-3 year(s) of relevant US Tax compliance and/or consulting experience;
• Strong analytical skills and committed to quality client service;
• Excellent project management and interpersonal and communication skills.
