Company Description
Our client is a regional international bank with focus in Greater China. Their regional branch in Hong Kong is looking for high caliber individuals to lead their Banking Operations Team, responsible for banking operations from loans, deposits, settlement wealth management to derivatives products.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee various operation functions of the Bank, including deposit, remittance, trade and loan, account opening and customer due diligence, and financial market and wealth management operations.
- Coordinate the work of all operation teams and allocate manpower according to business objectives of Headquarter and the Branch, so as to ensure a smooth daily workflow of operation functions and a solid operational risk management for the Bank.
- Monitor implementation of operational policies and procedures of Head Office and the Branch to ensure operation functions complying with regulatory requirements.
- Handle enquiries from internal departments and regulatory bodies of issues and subjects related to Operations.
- Supervise all operation teams, to manage staff performance and team harmony, and to conduct staff performance appraisal.
- Lead Operations teams to participate key projects and continuously to drive the workflow optimization, and process automation.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent academic qualification.
- At least 15 years relevant experience in managing banking operations for corporate banking, treasury and wealth management businesses.
- Sound understanding on banking operations, with knowledge of banking environment, regulatory requirements and risk control.
- Strong leadership, planning, analytical, and decision-making skills; be able to work under pressure.
- Good communication and inter-personal skill and be able to build trust among stakeholders.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
